South Carolina Continuing Education
In order to renew your South Carolina real estate license, here are the current requirements:
You must take a minimum of 10 hours of approved continuing education courses.
Everyone must take the CORE course (there are a few exceptions – contact us for details).
Are you a Broker-in-Charge? You must take the BIC Update course.
The remainder of your hours can be electives.
Are you a member of the National Association of REALTORS®?
In order to maintain your membership, here are the current requirements:
Your membership must be in good standing (i.e., you gotta pay your dues!) to your local Association or Board.
During the current 3-year cycle (January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027), you must take the following courses:

Fair Housing (NEW!)
You can take these courses on the NAR website for free. Or, since you have to do them anyway, take them with us and get South Carolina continuing education credit for them – accomplish two tasks at once!
Your local Board or Association may also have specific, additional Continuing Education requirements.

CORE: Legal Hot Tips

This course is required for all licensees by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission. Stay up to date with the latest laws and regulations. Be informed, stay compliant, and grow your professional stature!

Broker-In-Charge Update
4 hours
This course is required for all Brokers-In-Charge by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission. Topics include supervision, trust account, fair housing risk reduction, office policy and more.

Ethics+
4 hours
This course satisfies both the South Carolina Real Estate Commission’s continuing education requirements and the National Association of REALTORS® mandatory Ethics training.

SC Contracts & Documents Update: How to Stay Off The Real Estate Commission’s Radar

Don’t risk your license or a lawsuit! We cover commonly-used documents, recent changes and updates to them, and new forms for this year that you can use to stay out of hot water.
